PARIS (AP) — A French news report says police have raided the home of Olympic champion cyclist Jeannie Longo and arrested her husband over the alleged purchase of the banned performance enhancer EPO.

A police official contacted by The Associated Press confirmed that Longo’s husband had been detained in the Isere region of southern France but the cyclist herself had not been arrested.

The police official did not provide further details, and declined to be identified by name.

Sports newspaper L’Equipe reported on its website Wednesday that about dozen officers from a police agency that focuses on environmental and public health led a raid on the couple’s chalet in the southeastern town of Saint-Martin-le-Vinoux as part of a judicial probe opened in September.
