Tori Pena equals her own Irish record in Flagstaff

Tori Pena (Finn Valley AC) has equalled her own Irish indoor  record in the pole vault. Competing in a very closely contested competition in Flagstaff Arizona.

The twenty five year old Pena  cleared 4.45m at the first attempt. She entered the competition with the bar at 4.25m, clearing at the third attempt, and followed up with a first time clearance at 4.35m before clearing her record equalling height.

Afterwards she expressed her delight at her current progress.

This completes her competition plan pre European indoor championships in Goteborg March 1-3 where qualification for the final has to be the ultimate focus 2013 NAU Tune Up – Flagstaff, AZ
