The Irish Amateur Boxing Association (IABA) have confirmed that Fergal Carruth has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the IABA.

Dublin-born Mr Carruth, a brother of 1992 Olympic champion Michael, was appointed following an extensive interviewing process.

The IABA Board of Directors confirmed the appointment at the weekend.
