Great news for followers of GAA Handball today with the announcement that Saturday’s finals will be streamed LIVE for the first time.
GAA Handball confirmed that the 60×30 Finals Programme in Williamstown will be streamed live on www.gaahandball.ie in what is a massive step forward in the promotion of the national game. The programme will be available Saturday from 1pm, as people throughout Ireland and indeed the world will have free access to live Irish Handball on the Internet for the first time.

The highlight of the streaming will be the meeting of Westmeath’s Robbie McCarthy and Dublin’s Eoin Kennedy who contest the Men’s Senior Singles Final in what is sure to be an epic contest between the two outstanding players of their generation. Kennedy is appearing in an amazing twelfth final in a row. The man from the St Brigid’s club has won an incredible 8 titles in a row including 7 in a row from 2004 to 2010 as he dominated the 60×30 code for the past decade.
McCarthy is the reigning champion and going for 3 in a row and the Mullingar man is tipped to dominate the sport for a long time if he continues his current rich vein of form. Both players are two of the best exponents the 60×30 game has ever seen. Having met in the last 4 Finals, each man winning 2 apiece, Saturdays showdown will be an intriguing battle that could go to the wire.
