There were wins for Roscommon, Wicklow and Leitrim at the weekend and all three teams will still be hoping to qualify for the division final.
Clare 1-10 Roscommon 0-16
Roscommon defeated Clare at Cusack Park in Ennis, to move into second spot in the Allianz National Football League Division Four table.
The visitors led by 0-10 to 0-6 at halftime, but a 50th minute goal from Gary Brennan gave Clare some hope. It reduced the lead to 0-12 to 1-8, but visitors held on with Donie Shine (0-9) leading the way.
Wicklow 4-16 Kilkenny 1-5
Tony Hannon scored three goals as Wicklow easily beat Kilkenny at Castlecomer on Sunday.
Seánie Furlon also got in on the scoring act and finished the contest with 1-7 as Mick O’Dwyers men ran riot.
The Garden county are now favourites for promotion as they lead the way in this division with nine points from six games.
Letrim 0-11 Fermnagh 0-10
Leitrim also stay in contention for promotion after a one point defeat of Fermanagh at Pairc Seán Mhic Diarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday.
Although they looked in trouble, trailing by 0-7 to 0-1 at halftime, but the home side stepped it up after the restart and emerged with a crucial one point victory that keeps them very much in the promotion race
