Clare hurlers hammer Carlow

Clare hurlers booked their place in the Allianz National Hurling League Division Two final, after an easy 32 points win over Carlow on Sunday afternoon.

The Banner men will now face Limerick in a winner takes all clash, where only the victors are promoted to the top tier for next season.

Clare were always in control of Sunday’s match and led by 1-15 to 0-4 at the break. Diarmuid McMahon scored the goal after 23 minutes of the match and that was effectively game over.

Colin Ryan, Jonathan Clancy and McMahon all scored further goals after the restart as Clare ran out convincing winners. It set up the divisional final everyone expected between the two top sides in this section.
