Clare and Tipperary have proven their ability down South with big wins over Cork.  Kerry remain the team to beat but will the Rebels get back to the Munster Final?  Can Waterford and Limerick produce surprises?  SportsNewsIRELAND looks at the 2017 Munster Football Championship.

Sat/Sun 27th/28th May – (Quarter-Finals) – Waterford vs Cork (Fraher Field, Dungarvan), Clare vs Limerick (Cusack Park, Ennis)
Saturday 10th June – (Semi-Final) – Cork/Waterford vs Tipperary (5pm Pairc Ui Rinn/Semple Stadium)
Sat/Sun 10th/11th June – (Semi-Final) – Clare/Limerick vs Kerry (Cusack Park, Ennis/Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney)
Sunday 2nd July – (FINAL) – (Details TBC)

KERRY – (CHAMPIONS!!!) – Betting 1/3
The Kingdom are favourites to win a fifth consecutive title but have bigger plans. Their last two meetings with Dublin have yielded a draw and a narrow two-point defeat. Cork or Tipperary will be contenders in a final but Kerry should prevail.
Manager: EAMONN FITZMAURICE
Main Man: PAUL GEANEY
One To Watch: JACK BARRY

CORK – (Runners-Up) – Betting 3/1
Despite their recent woes and two defeats to ‘lesser’ provincial opposition, Cork will target Munster to turn their fortunes around. That loss to Tipperary in 2016 still rankles with the Rebels and they’ll seek revenge after getting past Waterford.
Manager: PEADAR HEALY
Main Man: RYAN PRICE
One To Watch: KEVIN CROWLEY

CLARE – (Semi-Finalists) – Betting 33/1
The Banner have improved immensely but suffered two heavy defeats to Kerry in 2016. A quarter-final and Division Two consolidation should allow Clare go for broke if they beat Limerick in the quarter-final but the qualifier route looks likely.
Manager: COLM COLLINS
Main Man: EOIN CLEARY
One To Watch: CIARAN RUSSELL

TIPPERARY – (Semi-Finalists) – Betting 10/1
Can they again? Tipperary displayed great character in beating Cork last year before an exceptional All-Ireland quarter-final against Galway. Cork mightn’t be firing on all cylinders but will be hungry and the Premier County have lost the surprise element.
Manager: LIAM KEARNS
Main Man: JIMMY FEEHAN
One To Watch: WILLIE CONNORS

WATERFORD – (Quarter-Finalists) – Betting 500/1
A positive league start faded but Waterford are showing they can compete among their division. Unfortunately, the championship draw brings Cork to Fraher Field and the Rebels haven’t fallen that far yet.
Manager: TOM McGLINCHEY
Main Man: PAUL WHYTE
One To Watch: DONIE BREATHNACH

LIMERICK – (Quarter-Finalists) – Betting 150/1
Following their McGrath Cup exploits, Limerick have been disappointing and stuck in Division Four. They will target the trip to Ennis to face Clare. Guaranteed to be close, the Shannonsiders will feel a Munster Final is within reach but form suggests otherwise.
Manager: BILLY LEE
Main Man: DARRAGH TREACY
One To Watch: GER COLLINS
