Cork comfortably defeated Laois by 3-18 to 0-13 in their senior hurling challenge match on Sunday.
The game was a final warm up for the two teams, who begin their respective All Ireland campaigns in the coming weeks.
Cork will play Tipperary on the 29th of May in the quarter final of the Munster Senior Hurling Championship, while Laois open their Leinster Senior Hurling Championship campaign next week against Antrim.
The Rebel County enjoyed an abject league campaign, finishing sixth in Division 1, but were clear favourites against a Laois team who finished third in Division 2.
Cork lived up to their billing and overpowered Laois, running out thorough 14 point winners. The Leesiders entered the break with a 2-7 to 0-7 lead after two goals from Jamie Coughlan, while a second half Ryan Clifford goal helped kill off Laois’ hopes of turning the tide.
