Daraine Mulvihill lands Channel 4 role

Former GAA director-general Liam Mulvihill’s daughter,Daraine has landed the role of fronting Channel 4′s coverage of next year’s Paralympics.

The 29-year-old won a TV competition and will present the programme next summer. Daraine had both legs amputated below the knee after she contracted meningitis when she was just 16.

The Irish girl will also present the BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester later this month for Channel 4.

“I can’t wait to get in front of the camera for Channel 4 at the BT Paralympic World Cup,” said Daraine.
