Mayo football bosses are not expecting the volcanic ash cloud to have any impact on their trip to London this weekend.
The Connacht side travel to Ruislip to take on the home team in the championship but there had been question marks over the tie because of the cloud which is currently causing havoc to flight schedules in European airspace. However, a spokesman for the county board has now confirmed that everything is in order:
“We don’t envisage any problems at the moment. The flights are all booked and we are just keeping an eye on the meteorological websites and staying in touch with the airlines.
“The ash cloud is expected in Greece on Wednesday and the information we are receiving is that there should be no disruption to our original plans.”
