Wexford Hurling have appointed Liam Dunne as their new manager replacing Colm Bonnar.

Wexford have been without a manager since the resignation of Bonnar after their All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship exit in early July a the hands of Limerick.

Dunne currently manages Oulart the Ballagh who sprang something of a surprise victory in the AIB Leinster Club SHC quarter-finals when they beat Kilkenny County Champions James Stephens last Sunday.

Dunne was a member of the Model County’s All-Ireland-winning team in 1996.
