Westmeath 0-05 Meath 0-17

Meath ran out comfortable 12-point winners away to neighbours Westmeath at Cusack Park today.

The Royals dominated from the throw in, with Cian Ward kicking them ahead after just 14 seconds and a brace from Stephen Bray made it 3 points to no score.

The home side were 0-10 to 0-4 adrift by the time the half-time whistle blew.

Westmeath’s hopes of rescuing the match were further hampered when they were reduced to 14 men early in the second half when defender Michael Ennis was sent off for a second yellow card offence.

Meath never looked like losing this game, and strolled to another NFL Division 2 win.
