The Central Competitions Control Committee is set to investigate the half-time brawl between Monaghan and Kildare in Clones at the weekend.

The row involved over 20 players and came just three weeks after the brawl between Derrytresk and Dromid Pearses, which saw several suspensions and fines handed out.

A second brawl in the second period saw Kildare defender Brian Flanagan sent to the stands. Three other players were also yellow carded.

Kildare boss Kieran McGeeney had previously said he expected no suspensions to be given out.
