RIP Former Kerry Star John Egan

Former Kerry Footballer John Egan has died at the age of 59 at his home in Cork.

The corner forward was a member of the Kerry side that won four All Ireland’s in a row from 1978 to 1981 and in total won Six All Ireland in a green and gold jersey.

Egan, a retired Guard, also won four National Football League titles, five All Star awards and nine Munster titles.

He died at his home in Elm Park in Cork City and is survived by his wife Mary, his son John, and his daughter Maureen.
