The draw for the All-Ireland Hurling Round 1 Qualifiers has thrown up some interesting matches with the most notable seeing Tipperary facing the losers of the Galway V Kilkenny match which will be replayed in Tullamore next Saturday.
As a result of the draw, Tipperary have been eased out to 9/1 from 7/1 to win a 27th All Ireland Senior Hurling title whilst reigning champions, Clare, who will face a home Round 1 tie against Wexford have been clipped into 9/2 from 5/1 to retain the Liam McCarthy trophy.
Kilkenny have been eased out to 9/4 from 2/1 following their draw with Galway in the Leinster semi-final and as a result, Cork have hardened into 3/1 from 10/3.
Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “The Round 1 Qualifier Hurling draw has thrown up some interesting ties and like last year we will see one of the top flight teams make an early exit from the Championship yet again.”
He added “We have seen further support for Cork in the past 24 hours and have clipped the Rebels further into 3/1 from 10/3.”
