AIB Munster GAA Football Senior  Club Championship Semi-Finals: Castlehaven (Cork) v Stradbally (Waterford)
Clonakilty @ 2:00pm

The west Cork side won their third county final overcoming Dunhallow in a pulsating final that went to the wire at the end of October. Castlehaven were reduced to 14 men early on but held on to win on a grey day by a solitary point 1-07 to 0-09.

In the Munster quarter-final the Cork men made light work of Limerick’s Dromcollogher Broadford and advanced to the next stage by an eleven point margin.

Stradbally overcame The Nire in the Waterford county final after a replay by a single point on a score-line of 1-08 to 0-10. The Waterford side are kingpins of Waterford football, however, in Munster they have fallen short time and again and will be keen to make their first final appearance since 2004.

Castlehaven are unbackable favourites to land a Munster final spot against either Tipperary’s Clonmel Commercials or more probably Kerry’s Dr. Crokes. With that in mind Stradbally will have nothing to lose but everything to gain if they can somehow frustrate the Cork side early on.

Verdict: Castlehaven -7 @ 1/1 with Boylsports
