Seanie Johnston’s proposed transfer to Kildare appears to have stalled after Cavan County Board rejected his transfer application.
The Cavan Gaels centre-half-forward wants to move to Kildare team St. Kevin’s and the Cavan County Board received his transfer request last Wednesday.
The Cavan County Board met last night to discuss the transfer and have seemingly rejected Johnston’s request.
The board had concerns over Johnston’s living arrangements.
Johnston is a resident in Straffan, but works as a teacher in Breffni College in Cavan town. The forward believes his residence makes him eligible to play for Kieran McGeeney’s Kildare.
