The two teams had poor league campaigns, with Galway failing to gain promotion from Division 2 and London failing to gain promotion from Division 4.

Ruislip has seen its fair share of shocks over the years with London knocking out Sligo a few years back. Can London beat Galway? The question remains to be seen. Galway suffered a heavy defeat to Mayo last year in the Connacht championship, maybe it was down to an off day because Galway are not that far behind Mayo. Galway are without Michael Meehan for this years championship.

London will need to have a very good day at the office and Galway have a very bad day at the office in order for the Exiles to win. Paul Goggins the Exiles boss will be relying on full forward Liam Mulvey to provide the scores. Galway will be dependent on Sean Armstrong to get scores while Paul Conroy can also chip in with a few scores. In defence Galway have Gareth Bradshaw an attacking wing back who is also well capable of scoring from open play.

This encounter will be tighter than people think. However, playing at a higher level in the league will stand to Galway.
