Dublin defender Philly McMahon is mourning the tragic death of his older brother John who passed away in London.
The All-Ireland winning defender’s brother has died just a few days after Philly played in the All-Ireland semi-final loss to Mayo.
The 33-year old was found in his London flat last week; just days after brother Philly had played in the defeat at Croke Park.
John’s death follows that of his wife last year and the McMahon family have been embroiled in tragedy again.
The Dublin family are still waiting to bring John’s body home for burial at a very sad time for the McMahon’s and the Dublin GAA community.
Philly McMahon has been a star performer for the Dubs since breaking into the team during 2008 and our thoughts are with the Ballymun Kickhams man and his family at this difficult time.
