Rory Gallagher has been named as the new manager of the Fermanagh’s senior football team.

Gallagher, who quit his Donegal role after three years at the end of July, will have former Tyrone defender Ryan McMenamin as his assistant.

He had previously worked as part of the Jim McGuinness backroom team that helped the Tir Chonaill men win Sam Maguire in 2012.

Gallagher replaces Pete McGrath, who departed this summer just a week after seemingly committing his future to the county.

Gallagher played seven years’ inter-county football with Fermanagh, and also represented Cavan.
