Dublin boss Jim Gavin received further bad news on Monday, with confirmation that Paul Flynn is expected to miss the remainder of the Allianz Football League with a hamstring tear.

The Dubs suffered their first defeat of the season against Tyrone at Croke Park on Saturday night, and the news of Flynn’s injury adds to concerns for Gavin.
The Fingallians player had to leave the field towards the end of the match and is expected to miss the Leinster champions’ final two Division 1 games against Down and Donegal.
Despite the weekend defeat, Dublin are still in a strong position to qualify for the semi-finals, and they could actually do this even without winning their remaining games in the league format.
