Preview

They won their first county title this season with a replay victory over the much fancied Longford Slashers in the final. They followed that up with an impressive win over Wexford side St. Anne’s in the Leinster first round.

18-time winners Navan O’Mahony’s are old horses at this level – they cruised past Wolfe Tones in the Meath county final – but will not be taking an Emmet Óg side, which contains players Sean McCormakc and Michael Quinn for granted.

Home advantage will also be crucial to Emmet Óg’s chances of causing an upset and the Longford side just have to believe to take another step to cap a wonderful year.

Verdict: Emmet Og
