Amid wild celebrations in the town of Newmarket-on-Fergus, someone forgot to mention they would be taking on a team with an immense pedigree in the form of De La Salle, in a Munster semi-final so soon after a county final.

The Waterford outfit are former provincial champions of 2008 and 2010 and lost out to Galway’s Portumna in the All-Ireland final of the same year.

If De La Salle gets through this encounter they could go all the way and win the All-Ireland championship but a great hunger has overcome Newmarket-On-Fergus and who knows what the men form the west has up their sleeves for the Waterford men.
Verdict: De La Salle
