Kildare produced a five-star performance to score five goals and annihilate Roscommon as Armagh were good value for their win over Mayo at Crossmaglen.

Roscommon were simply no match for Kildare from the outset at Athleague and from almost the first minute, the Lilywhites victory was never in doubt.  The visitors led by 0-06 to 2-08 with early first-half goals from Divilly and Murphy all but wrapping up the points.   In the second-half;  Kildare went through the gears to eventually win on a scoreline of 5-19 to 1-13.  The 18 point margin of victory did not flatter the visitors.

Armagh were also good value for their win, even if it came in less emphatic circumstances.   The Orchard County eventually came out the right side of a 0-21 to 1-11 scoreline and having tired late on, the visitors could have few complaints.
