Sundays GAA results – Wins for Roscommon, Longford & Laois

It was the first busy day of the GAA football championship results and there was one surprise results with Down coming from 7pts behind get a draw with Tyrone.

Tyrone looked to be coasting to victory, until Down hit two quick goals. Down lead by two points but Sean Cavanagh kicked a stunning free to level the match four minutes into injury time.

Roscommon had a very easy victory over Leitrim, Ronan Stacks goal in the first half left the home side well ahead at half time and they coasted to an easy victory.

Wicklow and Offaly both had leads in the second half, but Longford and Laois had superior fitness levels and ran out victor.
