Despite blowing a huge lead against Armagh last weekend, Aidan O’Brien and his men will have taken plenty from the performance itself, and with plenty of local support, they will be confident of adding to their points this weekend.

Form

Wexford are unbeaten, after a win against Longford, and that draw with Armagh in round two. The team are certainly giving fans plenty to get excited about, as they came from behind to beat Longford, then threw away an eleven point lead against the northerners. A win on Sunday would set Wexford up nicely for a real promotion push and there must be very chance that they can do so. Derry have done little wrong this season, just losing out to Galway in the opening round, before recovering to beat Laois the next time out.

Team News

Former captain Gerard O’Kane returns to the Derry defence, while Wexford have named an unchanged side from last weekend’s thrilling encounter with Armagh.

Players To Watch

Benny Heron has been recalled to the Derry attack and will be anxious to prove that he is worth his place in the Oak Leafers plans. PJ Banville has been impressive for Wexford and can show the way again this weekend.

Betting Advice:

A very tight game and bookmakers take the same view. Wexford can be a very decent outfit when everything clicks into gear, and assuming it does so on Sunday, then evens is a cracking price with Boylesports.com
