Golf: Irish team named for European Amateur championships in Slovakia

The GUI have named their strongest possible squad for the International European Amateur Championship at the Penati Golf Resort in Slovakia from 5-8 August.

 

Six players have been chosen to represent the Golfing Union of Ireland for one of the most prestigious stroke play events of the season. The squad nominated is: Paul Dunne (Greystones), Jack Hume (Naas), Gary Hurley (West Waterford), Gavin Moynihan (The Island), Dermot McElroy (Ballymena), Cormac Sharvin (Ardglass)

 

The players will be accompanied by the Irish Team Captain, Tony Goode (Lucan).

 

The GUI’s High Performance programme is supported by the Irish Sports Council.
