Lewis happy again with McLaren

Updated: April 17, 2012

Lewis Hamilton has stated that he is much happier at McLaren this season. The former Formula 1 champion didn’t have the best of times last year in a season littered with problems. However this season after three races and three third place podium finishes Hamilton sits at the summit of the Drivers Championship.

Lewis Hamilton is currently coming towards the end of his five-year deal which ends at the end of this year. Right now he isn’t interested in penning a new deal Hamilton just wants to focus on turning his podium finishes into race victories. Although Hamilton has stated that he would find it very difficult to leave McLaren he is only thinking about the season ahead.

Lewis Hamilton’s new found happiness is partly down to the set up at McLaren and his consistent driving performances this season. The twenty-seven year old Englishman is said to be happy to be in the fight for the championship and is determined to continue to challenge for points and victories.

Although Hamilton has been linked with Red Bull and Ferrari he has insisted he would like to stay in Woking. With Sebastien Vettel dominating last years championship and Hamilton suffering on track crashes and off track clashes with Felipe Massa, Hamilton appears to have matured this season and is certainly going to be near the top of the championship come the end of the season.
