Badminton: Stunning victory for Magees over top seeds at Belgian Open

The Irish number one pairing of Sam and Chloe Magee from Raphoe, Donegal , have booked their way into the semi-final with a sensational win over the number one seeded pair of Chris Langridge and Heather Olver. 

Going into the quarter final the Irish pair knew it would be a tough test as the pair is ranked 20 spots higher than them on the World ranking at number 23 in the world.
In a gruelling match that lasted twice as long as two of the other three quarter finals the Magees came out on top winning the third set 21-18 in a 67 minute match.
This now sets up a semi-final later on Friday  against Anders Skaarup Rasmussen and Lena Grebak of Denmark who are seeded four in this event.
