Canadian champion, Caroline Veyre from the ‘Club de Box de l’Est’ in  Quebec is the new opponent for  Bray’s Katie Taylor on 29th November at the Mansion House, following the late withdrawal of American no.3, Melissa Parker.

A 24 years old former University of Montreal student, Veyre took the Canadian title last month winning a unanimous 3-0 decision over experienced Stephanie Walker in the Elite Finals in Regina from a ten strong entry in the 60kg lightweight division and earlier this year represented Canada at 57kg in the American Continental Championships in Venezuela.

Veyre is looking forward to a place in the Canadian squad for the 2014 World Championships to be held in Canada (exact venue still to be confirmed)  and to represent her country at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow where women’s boxing is included for the first time.
