Badminton: Chloe Magee gets to last 16 at The French Open

Chloe Magee made it into the last 16 of the French Open Super Series event after beating World number 21 Juan Gu from Singapore. This left Chloe in a match up with Eriko Hirose of Japan for a place in the quarter final.

In the last 16 match the first game started evenly until 13 all at this point of the game Hirose World number 12 showed her strength and took the opening set 21-14. The Japanese number one powered through the second set to set up a quarter final with number 8 seed Tzu Ying Tai of Chinese Taipei.

Next up for the Irish players is the Bitburger Grand Prix where Scott Evans, Jonathan Dolan Sam and Chloe Magee all will be in action.
