Boylesports has installed Sizing Europe as the 5/2 favourite to land the JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal on Saturday.

First Lieutenant, who was an impressive winner of the Aintree Bowl Chase last April, is currently second favourite at 3/1 whilst the Paul Nicholls-trained Kauto Stone is 5/1 to win back-to-back races at the Northern racetrack.

Jim Culloty’s Lord Windermere and the Barry Connell-owned and Gordon Elliott-trained Mount Benbulben are also priced at 6/1 whilst 2011 winner Quito De La Roque is 12/1 with Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker to bounce back to winning ways.

Leon Blanche, Head of Communications at Boylesports, commented “Kauto Stone will bid to defend his JNwine.com Champion Chase but faces stiff competition from the likes of Sizing Europe and First Lieutenant.”

He added “RSA Chase winner, Lord Windermere, makes his seasonal reappearance and has already proven popular at 6/1 amongst each-way punters.”
