Crossmolina native Killian Duffy had a superb win in the fourth national Kuwait Rally, which started on Saturday.
Duffy is co-driver to Qatar’s Abdulaziz Alkuwari and the pair celebrated a successful win over the weekend. Overall, it was a dominant victory for the Seashore Qatar Rally Team in their Ford Fiesta and they led right from the start. Halfway through the day’s action, the pair had extended their lead over Kuwaiti driver Mufeed Mubarak to 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Alkuwari and Duffy performed excellently throughout the day, continuing their dominance into the day’s second loop. They finished quickest in the last three stages to win by a whopping 6 minutes.
It is an excellent achievement for the Mayo man and his team-mates on the Seashore Qatar Rally Team.
