Aidan O’Brien runners account for half the field in the Great Voltigeur Stakes at York on Wednesday, a race he last won with Powerscourt in 2003.

Idaho, second in the Epsom Derby and then third in the Irish Derby, heads the O’Brien team. He is joined by Housesofparliament, the winner of the Bahrain Trophy, and The Major General.

Michael Stoute, a seven-times winning trainer of the Group Two contest has entered Across The Stars, winner of the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, for this St Leger Trial.

The other two runners in the race are the Roger Charlton-trained Imperial Aviator, and Harrison from the Mick Channon yard.
