Baily Green and Rubi Light who were second and third respectively behind Sizing Europe at Gowran Park on Saturday could clash again in the Grade 2 Boyleports.com Fortria Chase which will run at Navan on the 10th of November.
Speaking on Saturday Mouse Morris who trains Baily Green said ’I was delighted with the way he ran and we’ll see how he comes out of Gowran. I thought he’d run well and he will come on for the run, but a lot will depend on how he is and what the ground is like, but he will get an entry and we will work towards it.’
Robbie Hennessy was more than happy with Rubi Light at Gowran and he said,’ He was just never right last season, but I was thrilled with him on Saturday and he may have finished a bit closer to the winner had the ground been softer. There is a nice bit of time between Gowran and the Boylesports.com Fortria and that could well be his next race.’
It has also been suggested that Flemenstar could have his first run for Tony Martin in the Boylesports.com Fortria Chase. The eight year old made all when he beat Big Zeb in last season’s renewal.
The Boylesports.com Fortria is one of three Graded races that Boylesports will sponsor at Navan and Alan Reilly Head of Racing and PR said “Boylesports are absolutely delighted to be associated with our neighbours at Navan on what is always an excellent day of racing and which sets the standard for the opening of the NH season proper.”
He added “Boylesports remain committed to supporting Irish racing and are proud to add Navan to our sponsorship portfolio.”
Darren Lawlor, Racecourse Manager commented “We are delighted to have attracted such an exciting sponsor for this great day of national hunt racing. It is a clear reflection of the quality that this race attracts, with such recent winners as Flemenstar and Big Zeb gracing this day in past runnings.”
He added “This year promises to be another great renewal and we would hope that we may even see some oversees raiders for the attractive prize funds on offer.”
