Betting Advice: York on Thursday

Some great race this afternoon from York, Benny Glynn previews Thursday racing and give his three horses to back.

1.55 York -

Ventura Mist 10/1 with Boylesports.com can give local trainer Tim Easterby a winner on his local knavesmire track. His form is rock solid finishing 2nd behind Fig Roll last time in Newmarket in a race that has thrown up winners already. This race is somewhat of a lottery but with a high draw and plenty of pace round him he is sure to go close as he has been very consistent all season. 1 point each way.

2.30 York -

Lucky Kristale 11/4 with Boylesports.com can follow up her impressible win last time at Newmarket to take this Group 2 Lowther stakes for fillies on the card. She beat Rizeena well that day and that horse franked the form by finishing 3rd in a Group 1 in France on Sunday. She does have a 3 pound penalty for that last win but looks all class and can take this prize for excellent trainer George Margarson. 2 point win.

3.05 York -

In this fiendishly difficult handicap there is any amount of chances with 20 runners going to post over 1 mile. We are going to go for Navajo Chief 16/1 with Boylesports.com  to get in the money at the track that he loves. He has only finished outside the top 5 in York once in 8 runs at the track and that includes 3 wins. He rarely runs a bad race round here and with a good draw in 8 can go close for top claimer Michael Murphy. Another course specialist to look out for is Smarty Socks 12/1 but he has not won over a mile since 2008 so slight preference is for Navajo Chief.  1 point each way.

3.40 York -

The Fugue 5/2 (Nap) can bounce back to winning ways for John Gosden and jockey William Buick. She is a genuine Group 1 filly and things just have not gone her way this season thus far. She scoped bad after her last run in Sandown, and her run before that where she was 3rd in the Prince Of Wales stakes is the best piece of form on offer as she took on the boys that day. She was only beaten by Al Kazeem Just over 3 lengths and he has won three group 1s this season. The main danger is going to come from Wild Coco but if The Fugue is in top form she will take a serious performance to beat her. 2 point win.
