Racing at Dundalk commences tonight with the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap at 5:50. There is an action packed eight race card from the Louth venue, with the highlight being the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Race.

Diesel Ten (6.20 Dundalk) & Captain Joy (7.20 Dundalk) are a 17/2 double with Boylesports.com

Racing kicks off at 5:50 with a wide open handicap where Bangalore Diamond looks to take the spoils again tonight. It will be no easy task as Almadaa continues to run well in defeat, despite carrying top weight; he could very well get his head in front tonight. He ran into a big gamble here last time so it was a good run to finish second against a rival that looks well above his allocated mark. On that form Almadaa should prevail.

Eusepio takes his chances in the bookings@dundalkstadium.com Median Auction Maiden where he will be looking to make amends for his below par performance here the last day. His best form saw him finish close to Toccato Blue and if regaining that form he is in with a great shout. Rose Angel looks to be the clear danger. Her second the last day showed vast improvement from her debut, and if she is still on the up should will be hard to beat in this moderate affair.

Captains Joy is well fancied for the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Race at 7:20, but Akasaka looks major danger. Eddie Lynam’s charge has won a competitive handicap at here and recently finished a fine third behind a smart sort in Steps To Freedom. Captain Joy makes his first start of this year and Collins’ charge could improve for the run. Billyford is another with a chance of making the placings.

Saratoga Baby put up a decent performance here on her latest appearance and on that form could be expected to get her head in front in the Rory O’Connor Apprentice Handicap. She seems a consistent sort and is the one to beat. Aiden O’Brian’s Fairylike might not be as competitive under her five pound rise from her recent victory. Foot Solider looks the main danger to Peter Fahey’s Saratoga Baby.

Lonan made a satisfactory debut here in November and maybe he’ll come forward enough now to score in the Dundalk Stadium – Light Up Your Night Maiden at 8:50. He comes from a dangerous jockey and trainer combination and improvement can be expected after his debut. He is well bread and good vibes come from the yard in relation to this gelding. Doux Douce could cause the biggest threat.
