Parish is fancied to be the main diamond at the Friday evening meeting at Dundalk.

7.45 Dundalk -

The group 3 diamond stakes over just over 1 mile 2 furlongs is one the features of the year for Dundalk on the card. It has attracted a fine field of horses, of which Parish Hall (Nap) 7/4 with Boylesports.com looks the class of the field. He was a top juvenile winning the prestigious Dewhurst on his final start as a 2 year old.

He got injured after that race and missed his entire 3 year old career. He returned this year running some excellent races, winning the Alleged listed race on his first start. He then ran behind Camelot in a group 3, before completing his comeback where he put in a fine effort finishing 4th in the Group 1 Irish champion stakes.

He finished behind 3 proven Group 1 performers in The Fugue, Al Kazeem and his stable mate Trading Leather. There is nothing of that class in this field, and he really should have too much class for his opposition. 2 point win.
