Trainer Tom George has confirmed his exciting French recruit Mail De Bievre, will be supplemented for the Sportingbet Queen Mother Champion Chase at next months Cheltenham Festival.

Mail De Bievre is 121 with Boylesports.com to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase

The horse began his career in Britain with Alan King, before being bough to race in France. He improved immensely in his new surroundings and became a star in his adopted country. The eight-year-old jumped superbly towards the head of the field on his return to Britain, in the three-mile Betfair Denman Chase at Newbury. Despite eventually weakening into fifth place, he showed enough for connections to feel that he could make his presence felt over a shorter trip.

While he also holds an entry in the Ryanair Chase, connections are ready to stump up £17,500 to add him to the Champion Chase field:

“I think riding him positively over two miles will be just his cup of tea,” said George.
