Tommy Carmody’s seven-year-old will run in a Group Three over a mile and three-quarters on Saturday in Meydan, which is the same trip he won the Curragh Group One over.
Johnny Murtagh will make the journey to ride him after making his comeback from injury at Dundalk last week.
“I’m just on my way to the airport now, it will be nice to get out there,” said Murtagh.
“Royal Diamond has settled in well out there. He’ll have been out there two weeks by the time of the race.
“He’s Tommy’s only horse out there so he’s getting all the attention. He’s a Leger winner so he deserves to go and the target is the Gold Cup.
“He’s never run over two miles for us, but we think he’ll get it as he stays well. It looks a nice race to start him off in.”
