With Sprinter Sacre ruled out of retaining his Champion Chase crown at the Cheltenham Festival, Sire De Grugy now heads the betting at 7/4.
Arvika Ligeonniere who was last seen landing the Boylesports.com Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown is currently joint second favourite at 5/1 alongside the Tony Martin trained Benefficient.
Nicky Henderson now may be represented by Captain Conan who is currently priced at 6/1 whilst the Seven Barrows handler may also saddle Kid Cassidy (10/1) who has already defeated current race favourite Sire De Grugy when landing the Shloer Chase last November at Prestbury Park.
Paul Nicholls holds a strong contender in the form of Al Ferof (6/1) whilst Alderwood who landed the Grand Annual Chase at the festival last year is priced at 10/1.
The Mouse Morris trained Baily Green finished second in the Arkle at the festival last year and is available at 12/1 to provide the county Tipperary handler with a Cheltenham Championship race win.
