Fifteen runners are set to go to post for Saturday’s Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot with Edward’s Lynam’s Slade Power currently heading the betting at 7/2.
Slade Power will be bidding to follow up his Group 3 Greenland’s Stakes win at the Curragh with his nearest rival in the betting been the Roger Varian trained Aljamaaheer at 9/2.
Aidan O’Brien is set to be double handed with Due Diligence (7/1) and Darwin (20/1) who was last seen finishing last of six to Slade Power at the Curragh.
Tom Hogan’s Gordon Lord Byron has been a globetrotter of recent and the six year old son of Byron who was fourth in the race last year is priced at 9/1 to make it first past the post on Saturday under William Buick.
