Dolphin host UL Bohemians in the Ulster Bank AIL Division One this Saturday at 2.30pm. This is a real relegation battle, with both sides needing the points to be safe in the top tier for another season.
The home side currently lie seventh in the table, four points ahead of Saturday’s opposition. With bonus points a possibility, and little between the sides at the foot of the table, neither side will be taking anything for granted.
Form
Dolphin have been a little unfortunate, losing a couple of matches by narrow margins in recent weeks. Only for those reverses they would be safe for another season, instead of battling it out at the bottom. Another close call in their latest match, 20-18 against St Mary’s College just about sums up their campaign to date. UL Bohs suffered a very heavy 38-3 defeat to Limerick rivals Garryowen in their last game, and heads will be low this weekend.
Players To Watch
Barry Keeshan has led the way for Dolphin with scores this season and his side will be hoping for more of the same this Saturday. JJ Hanrahan is a rising star of Irish rugby and he has impressed for UL Bohs all season.
Betting Advice:
Dolphin are better than their position in the league table suggests, and with the added advantage of playing at home, they should be good enough to win this match.
