Dublin supported to land RTE Sports Team of the Year

The RTE Sports Awards take place on Saturday 21st December Live on RTE One and Boylesports has seen support for current All-Ireland Football champions, Dublin, to be crowned 2013 Team of the Year.

Currently Leinster Rugby heads the betting at Evens but Jim Gavin’s Dublin team have been cut into 15/8 from 9/4 on Tuesday morning following support.

Davy Fitzgerald’s Clare hurlers are available at 3/1 to crown off a magnificent year whilst the Irish Women’s Rugby team who won the 2013 Six Nations are on offer at 11/2.

Other nominees include the Irish Paralympic Swimming team who are 6/1 to claim the award, St Patrick’s Athletic (20/1), Irish Men’s Boxing team (25/1) whilst the Galway Camogie team and Cork Ladies Football team are ranked outsiders at 33/1.

Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “It has been a magnificent year for Irish sport and all the nominees are well deserved in the 2013 Team of the Year category.”

He added “We have seen support for the Dublin Footballers on Tuesday morning and have had to react and cut them into 15/8 from 9/4. They are still proving popular at 15/8 and are set to harden even further if the cash continues to come for Jim Gavin’s men.”
