Clermont 5/2 to land Heineken Cup
Munster slashed into 8/1 to repeat 2008 success
With just one round of games remaining in the pools of the 2013/14 Heineken Cup, last year’s beaten finalists Clermont Auvergne head the betting at 5/2 to go one better than last year’s one point defeat in the final.
Current champions Toulon are priced at 7/2 to retain the Heineken Cup whilst Leinster who had to come back from 14-0 down to defeat Castres 29-22 have been eased out to 5/1 from 4/1 to lift a fourth Heineken Cup trophy.
Munster who last lifted the trophy in 2008 have been the subject of support on Sunday and are now 8/1 to lift the trophy for a third time whilst Toulouse who currently top Pool 3 are available at 9/2 to land a fifth Heineken Cup title.
Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “Leinster had to work hard for a victory over Castres and despite easing them out to 5/1 from 4/1 they still remain popular with punters to lift the Heineken Cup for a fourth time.”
He added “Currently Munster are our worst Ante Post liability as Rob Penney’s squad have been supported into 8/1 from 10/1 after we initially had shortened them in from 14/1 to 10/1 on Saturday.”
