It was all about winning and Brian O’Driscol’s last game for Ireland at the Aviva this afternoon and the crowd got the result they wanted with a 48-7 win over Italy.

Sell-Out crowd seen Ireland score eight tries with BOD setting up three tries before he exited to a standing ovation and the man of the match award.

The game started brightly for Ireland with Racing Metro fly-half Sexton feeds O’Driscoll – his former Leinster team-mate – and the record-breaking centre flips a sublime no-look pass Sexton as he loop behind. The fly-half takes it at pace, hands-off an attempted tackler and then shows good wheels to go round by the posts. Cracking score, which Sexton converts himself, and Ireland look to be on their way.

Six more tries by McGrath, McFadden, Cronin, Sexton , Healy, Trimble set up a Six Nations decider next week against France.
