Its being suggested on social media this evening that Leinster Rugby are set to lose the services of Jamie Heaslip and Sean O’Brien to French clubs next season.

It has been circuling on Twitter that Toulouse and Clermont are on the verge of announcing deals on Heaslip and O’Brien respectively this month.

Talks on O’Brien’s future began on June 5th in a Ballsbridge Hotel, where his agent Fintan Drury presented a deal to the IRFU head of human resources Maurice Dowling and Leinster chief executive Michael Dawson, but the duo were not happy and postponed talks until 1st of October. But it now seems that those talks did not help seal a deal to keep O’Brien in Ireland. So he is now on his way to Clermont.

The surprise move is that Irish vice-captain Jamie Heaslip is on the move , there are very little details on his move to Toulouse but the French club has a huge budget which could see Heaslip earn close to 750,000e a year.

Conor Murray is due to sign a new year contract with the IRFU so its better news for Munster fans.
