Mike Prendergast has become the latest Irish rugby coach to agree a new deal in France.
Earlier this week it was revealed that Bernard Jackman was set to take over as head Coach of top 14 side Grenoble next season.
Following on from that announcement, Prendergast has now confirmed to SportsNewsIreland that he too has agreed a new deal and will continue to work as a backs coach with the club next season.
Prendergast, a former Munster scrum half, told SportsNewsIreland of his “delight” at the new deal and hopes to continue the “progress the club have made his season” with Heineken Cup rugby the target.
Despite not having the budget of some of their rivals Grenoble currently sit 7th in the top 14 standings, 7 points off leaders Clermont and just three points off four place Toulon.
