Airtricity League First Division Previews

Having lost last week’s crucial game against Waterford, Longford Town will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways at Flancare Park against SD Galway.

The westerners come in on the back of a morale boosting performance against Limerick where they only lost 1-0.

In Donegal, Finn Harps put their ten game unbeaten record on the line against promotion-chasing Waterford United who must win to keep the pressure on leaders Limerick at the top.

Waterford are also in a rich vein of form at the moments having won their last three games to move into second place. Harps boss Peter Hutton chooses from the same squad as last week with Gary Merritt (groin) the only doubt while Waterford’s Paul O’Brien welcomes Paul Carey back from suspension while Peter White returned to training this week after injury kept him out of the
Longford game.

Stephen Mulcahy is the only injury worry with a niggling hamstring injury, but he is expected to be fit.

The original match referee Raymond Matthews has been replaced by Rob Harvey.
