Arsene Wenger welcomes back Thomas Vermaelen following a virus and the Belgian will go straight back into the side with Laurent Koscielny most likely to step aside despite scoring against Manchester City last time out.
The Steve Bould effect has been lauded in recent weeks with the Arsenal backline showing a new found resilience this term with just two goals conceded while up front Wenger will have been delighted to see Oliver Giroud get on the score sheet in the 6-1 win over Coventry midweek.
Wojciech Szczesny (ankle) remains sidelined while the Gunners are soon to be boosted by the return of Tomas Rosicky and Bacary Sagna as they edge closer to a first team return.
